Jerusalem, November 4 (Xinhua) – The Israeli club Maccabi Tel Aviv achieved a 3-0 home victory against Finnish champions HJK Helsinki in the fourth round of House A in the UEFA Conference League on Thursday evening.
The game was held in front of 8,029 fans at Bloomfield Stadium in Jaffa, the southern part of the Tel Aviv-Jaffa coastline.
Maccabi dominated the match from the start and scored the first goal in the 22nd minute through the Korkaua team, Brandy Koas, after a pass from Gabi Knichowski.
Koas almost made it 2-0 after 9 minutes from a free kick from 25 yards out, but Finnish goalkeeper Hugo Keto saved.
The home team doubled the advantage in the 65th minute from an own goal by Lucas Lingman.
Substitute striker Matan Hozes scored the third goal in the final seconds with an impressive long-range shot.
With the victory, Maccabi Tel Aviv leads the team with 10 points, followed by the Austrian LASK Linz, which also reached 10 points after a 2-0 home victory over Armenian Alaskart.
HJK in third place with three points, while Alskart in fourth place with no points.
The winner of the team after six rounds will advance directly to the playoffs, while the runner-up will play in the knockout round for a place in the playoffs.
In the fifth round, the Israeli team will host LASK, while HJK will host Alashkart – with both games taking place on November 25.
