(November 9, 2021) / JNS) Moroccan national airline Royal Air Morocco announced on Tuesday that it is launching scheduled flights to Israel.
The flights will start on December 12 and will fly between Casablanca and Tel Aviv Moroccan News Agency (MAP).
Flights are scheduled to depart from Casablanca every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, and depart from Tel Aviv on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, the airline said.
The Israeli National Security Council announced in October that it had canceled a travel alert that had been in effect for Morocco for more than a decade. In August, Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid inaugurated the Israeli Liaison Office in Rabat, Morocco, and officially rehabilitated ties between the two countries.
Morocco, Israel and the United States signed a tripartite declaration on December 22, 2020, which included an obligation to “renew full official contacts between Israeli and Moroccan counterparts.”
